Kate Weiner

Kate Rose Weiner is a writer, editor, and publisher working at the intersections of culture and climate justice. As the Editor for Peace & Riot, Kate is passionate about telling stories that the mainstream media often misses. She is also the Co-Editor of Loam, the publishing branch of the Weaving Earth Center for Relational Education, and the Director of Loam Library, a mobile reading room.

In collaboration with Kailea Loften, Kate is the co-author of the Indie Bestseller Compassion in Crisis, an immersive and intersectional field guide to navigating climate disaster (Heyday 2026). She also curates the newsletter series Resplendently Citational with the artist Amirio Freeman.

Kate is a 2025 Strange Foundation Resident, a 2024 alum of the North Coast Project, a 2023 Editorial Fellow at the Center for Humans & Nature, a 2021 Artist/Activist-in-Residence at Boulder Public Library, and a 2018 Spiritual Ecology Fellow.
