Counterstream Media is a nonprofit media organization that uses journalism and storytelling to work toward climate and environmental justice. Our stories center the people most heavily impacted by extractive industries, systems, and corporations and explore how these communities are reshaping our climate future.
Our work reveals where climate, environmental, racial, and social justice intersect. We combine hard data with the stories and lived experiences from Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color, low-income communities, and other historically marginalized groups.
